The Social Impact Analytics Institute’s mission is to use data science, artificial intelligence and machine learning for social good.

We accomplish this mission in two ways:

By providing data analytics and data science services to nonprofits and other organizations at a reduced cost so they can maximize their organizations’ efforts and donation dollars.

By conducting our own research into social problems using the newest data science techniques and developing our own analytical tools.

Whether the data is numbers or text, we use an innovative approach to find patterns, connections, and insights using machine learning and artificial intelligence.

Our Team at SIAi

The SIA Institute is a nonprofit organization started by data scientists and led by data scientists.

Our team is made up of volunteer data scientists from a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and geographical locations.

We believe this diversity enhances our teamwork and helps us grow in our data science skills.

Each member of our team brings their unique perspective into our efforts addressing social issues and assisting other nonprofit organizations.

Our current tech stack includes Python, Jupyter Notebooks, NLP/NLU, BERT, and Google Colab.

If you want to be part of an organization dedicated to driving social good through data science, join us!

SIAi Volunteer Reach

Our History

Out of the chaos of 2020, Co-Founders Ben Meredith, Ed.D. and Jeanna Schoonmaker, along with ten dedicated data scientists, saw the advantages that artificial intelligence could bring to understanding and solving complex social problems.

Dedicating their own time and resources as volunteers, this core group of twelve mathematicians, programmers, and data scientists began developing an innovative technology to ingest and study huge amounts of data related to social issues in order to derive actionable insights toward solving social problems.

Thus began SIAi.
